Spring Sponsorship Rundown!
Spring and fall are busy times for fundraisers and sponsorship, as anyone who has ever helped with a non-profit will tell you. We cherish the opportunity to support various groups and initiatives with the communities that we serve. Here are some great events & activities that we’ve sponsored recently:
Bedford Family Connection (BFC) Spring Concert
We’ve been longtime fans and supporters of the Bedford Family Connection (many of our families have been members over the years) and their Spring Concert, which is coming up this weekend. The weather looks fabulous, so if you’re around on Sunday afternoon, register & bring the fam! Here’s the link to register.
BFC is a volunteer run non-profit founded in 1988 to support and connect families with children ages five and under
Bedford Education Foundation (BEF) May Soiree
We were THRILLED that the BEF spring event returned this year and were proud sponsors of the May Soiree, that took place at the Tuscan Kitchen in Burlington on Friday, May 6.
The Bedford Education Foundation is a small volunteer board of parent, community, and corporate members committed to serving all of Bedford’s public schools. Since our inception in 2008, we have raised over $300,000 to fund over 200 innovative and creative grants at all four schools in all disciplines.
American Legion Riders Battle Road Ruck & Ride
Another May event that we were happy to support was the Amerian Legion Riders, Chapter 221 Ruck & Ride. All proceeds were donated to Give2Those.org, an organization that assists veterans & families through their Hand Up 4 Our Heros program. The program provides memorial plaques to families of fallen heroes through their Plaques of Honor program, introduces the lifelong benefits of archery to veterans & first responders through their Thin Line Arrow Archery Program, amongst many other endeavors.
Concord-Carlisle Community Chest
Around this time last year, we formed a new partnership with an outstanding organization in our neighboring communities. Buyer specialist, Darcy Heintz-Perkins, has lived in Concord for years and introduced us to this organization of neighbors helping neighbors. The mission of the Concord-Carlisle Community Chest is to engage the community to help neighbors in need. Since its inception in 1947, the Chest has strengthened the community by fundraising and allocating money to a broad range of human service organizations that help Concord and Carlisle residents. We look forward to continuing our partnership with them!
Bedford Athletic Association Annual Golf Tournament
We love a good golf game (some of us are better than others) and enjoy supporting the BAA’s annual tournament. This year’s took place on Saturday, May 7. Proceeds from the event are used to fund the. yearly scholarships to qualified Bedford student-athletes.
Adaptive Sports New England
Keeping with the sports theme, we also love the work that Adaptive Sports New England does and enjoy partnering with them to advance their initiatives. Adaptive Sports New England is a Boston-based non-profit dedicated to increasing participation in sports by youth and young adults who have a visual or mobility impairment.
BEST/PTO Color Run 2022
One of the most fun events in June has historically been the Color Run that Bedford Elementary Schools Together (BEST) PTO organizes annually. After getting canceled in 2020 and going virtual in 2021, the event is back in person this year! So sign up and get ready to be blasted with color powder on Saturday, June 12.
The mission of the BEST/PTO is to provide support, communication and enrichment to the students, families and school staff at both the Davis School (K – Grade 2) and the Lane School (Grades 3 – 5). The PTO is very active in raising funds for classroom and teacher grants, Enrichment programs and physical improvements to the schools.
Bedford High School All Night Graduation Party
If you see some sleepy people wandering around town today (Friday, June 3), they might be recent high school grads who were up all night partying. The Bedford High School Parent Association (BHSPA) presented this 33rd all-night celebration, providing free food & entertainment, plus prizes! Over 90% of graduating seniors attend this substance-free event.
