Meet Natasha! Owner of Barre3 Bedford & Sudbury

Meet our next Maker, Natasha! She is the owner of Barre3 Bedford and Barre3 Sudbury! She fell in love with Barre3 after graduating from college and moving across the country to Portland, OR, in 2009. She was drawn to Barre3's warmth, its welcoming community, and its challenging yet centering workout. After a year in Portland, she moved back home to Massachusetts, where she continued her practice with their online workouts. In 2015, she became an instructor at Barre3 Needham, and soon after that she began working toward opening her own studio.

Barre3 is not your typical barre studio. It is a full-body balanced workout combining strength conditioning, cardio, and mindfulness. Although it is a low impact and sustainable workout, you definitely still get your sweat on! No one wants to spend 45 minutes to an hour in a class and feel like they have to go for a run after. The mission and driving factor behind every move they do in class is to teach people to be balanced in the body and empowered from within. With that being said, it isn’t a one-size-fits-all class. There are options and modifications for every move to accommodate everyone. Nobody wants to workout and feel intimidated or frustrated - you will most likely not come back.

Our Team Director, Becky Venuti is, how do we say it? Obsessed with Barre3! She jokes around with the team that when she’s in a bad mood it’s because she couldn’t get her 3 workouts in that week. Steph Fairchlid, our Listings Manager has also joined, so you may likely see them sweating it out together before coming to the office or at the end of a crazy day here.

Barre3 has been a life changer for me! I never liked gyms and frankly never really liked working out. My confidence was really low and I felt overwhelmed walking into gyms or environments where everyone else seemed to be in a groove. Fast forward to 2016 when I went through a personal trauma and had just had my third child. I heard about Barre3 through one of the instructors, Tara, and decided to give it a shot! I instantly felt safe! The instructors are so motivating and warm and the modifications were my life-saver in the beginning because I was so out of shape! I never felt awkward when I couldn’t push myself the way others were. Fast forward to 2018. My divorce was finalized and I made the commitment to myself that my health - mental and physical were going to be the sole focus for the year. Barre3 quickly became a part of that plan! I started visiting the website more for recipes and at-home workouts, I committed to practicing my planks and some other postures that I knew were a challenge for me. I pre-scheduled as many workouts as I could so that I stayed the course. I also love the option of being able to take my kids with me - no excuses not to go!!! Barre3 Bedford isn’t just a workout space it’s a community. I’ve become friendly with the instructors and many of the other B3 addicts who are on the same schedule as me. I love all the people, the accountability, motivation, community and I know I’m crazy but barre3 burpees are my favorite! I feel so complete - body and mind when I’m done with a workout. It’s so good for me, all around.

- Becky Venuti

Barre3 is more than just a workout, it’s an encouraging community that always makes you feel welcome. A major bonus to the Bedford and Sudbury locations is that they offer a play lounge at over 50% of their classes and it’s only $5 per child!
