ST. PAUL’S ADVENT FAIR

Start your festive Saturday off with St. Paul’s Annual Advent Fair, running from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dec, 6 at the church, 100 Pine Hill Rd. in Bedford. The fair features gifts, crafts, food, and holiday cheer for people of all ages. All proceeds will benefit the work and ministries of the church.

LIBRARY SCAVENGER HUNT / BOOK SALE

Celebrate the season at the Bedford Public Library with a Winter Wreath Treasure Hunt 9 AM - 4 PM. Kids can pick up a felt wreath craft kit at the Children’s Desk, then follow clues around the library to find winter-themed decorations for their wreath.

Then stop by the Friends Room, Study Rooms, and Book Nooks 1PM-4PM for a wide selection of gently used books including holiday books! Proceeds support programming / acquisitions for the BFPL.

INDOOR ARTISANS MARKET

The Bedford Cultural District and the Gallery @ First Parish will host the Holiday Artisans Market and Children’s Fair on Saturday, December 6, from 2–6 p.m. at First Parish, 75 The Great Road.

The Artisans Market will showcase 25+ local makers offering handcrafted gifts, including art, photography, ceramics, jewelry, ornaments, candles, and more.

Enjoy live music from the First Parish Choir (2–3 p.m.) and Suzuki violinists (3–4 p.m.) as you shop two festive floors of artisan booths.

Downstairs, the Children’s Fair (2–4:30 p.m.) will include crafts, gift-making, and a “Santa for Seniors” card station. Kids can even shop for free gifts for loved ones, with childcare available from 2–3:30 p.m. All activities are free, with optional donations to the Bedford Food Pantry.

OUTDOOR ARTISANS MARKET

This year, the Holiday Market is expanding onto the Bedford Common lawn, hosted by Suzanne & Company in partnership with the Town. The Outdoor market will be both Saturday & Sunday!

Stroll through a festive tent of 15+ artisan vendors, enjoy live carolers, and take part in the our first Wreath Decorating Contest and Raffle! Warm up with cocoa, browse handmade gifts, and soak in the lights and music as the town gears up for the 5 p.m. Tree Lighting and a special visit from Santa.

SUZ & CO TREE LIGHTING WATCH PARTY

Join us for a festive holiday celebration at our Tree Lighting Watch Party! We’ll kick off the holiday season accompanied by the lively Regency Brass Band playing your favorite holiday tunes. Enjoy our cozy hot chocolate bar or sip on craft brews in our beer garden. Lastly, do not forget to snap a festive photo with Frosty the Snowman!

Bedford Depot Freighthouse

Stop by the Bedford Depot for a festive open house in the Freight House and railcar museum, decked out for the season. Enjoy holiday shopping, storytime with Conductor Henry (3:30 PM), a kids’ scavenger hunt, model train displays, and free candy canes! Open one hour later for the 5 PM Tree Lighting and again Sunday (regular hours) from 11 AM–5 PM.

Historical Society Tableau Vivant

After Santa’s arrival, visit the front steps of Old Town Hall to see a Tableau Vivant presented by the Bedford Historical Society and Bedford TV. This living art form features actors in costume posing in a silent, historic scene inspired by Victorian traditions. View it from the Town Common - or cross South Road for a closer look!

TREE LIGHTING & SANTA VISIT

To cap off the day’s festivities, the moment everyone’s been waiting for - the Bedford Tree Lighting! Gather on the Town Common at 5PM as the lights flicker on and the season officially begins. Then, keep your eyes and ears open for a very special guest arriving afterwards from the North Pole!
